Did the book signing tonight .... Scary getting up in front of people and talking .... Clara ... the other author did way better then I did ....
I liked the Q&A after a lot better .... I was able to put out a lot of info on the... trucking industry .... most of what I found is people had a lot to say about it ....How they felt and their own exsperienceses..... I think what surprised them the most was that drivers themselves are trying to fix most of what they as four wheelers are concerned about..... That drivers have the least control over what is going on in the industry as far as getting companies to be compliant, training practices .... and the government to understand what the problems actually are.... and how to fix them..... But ... we are trying ... more and more of us every day.
I think speaking with an experienced truck driver that actually understood their concerns made a big difference .... they liked knowing that at least one driver cared ... and loved the fact that others were out there as well .... It was a small group tonight .... but a few more people now understand that there are safe truck drivers out there .... we do care .... And with a little help and understanding between all involved ... we can make America Highways a little safer for all of us.
As for my presentation .... With time ... I will get better .... I hope I get over this scared of being up in front of a crowed thing real quick ..... I know I will though .... our message that driver do care is way to important to let a little stage fright get in the way ....
