It's cold out side ..... I know I could run .... but ... today I think I'll sit .... Why You might ask .... it's because some drivers feel that it's OK to run top speed on highways that are covered in l...ight powdered snow and ice .....
I happen to believe that if the highways are slick .... and the people you are sharing them with are slowing down trying to keep it safe .... you as a professional truck driver have a responsibility to make sure they arrive alive .... let me explain ...
when a big truck runs over about forty five miles an hour to pass some one ... their truck kicks up so much snow that the person they are passing loses complete site for well over a minute .... thats about a mile of driving that you the passer have put another driver in a complete white out while you calmly say on your CB .... if you can't handle it ... get off the road ...
Although some might think this cool ..... Personally I call this vehicular man slaughter when someone dies because they where put in a complete white out by a un-ethical truck driver. I understand this statement to be strong .... it just my opinion.
I know that truck will go ..... but no load is so important that we should be putting at risk the lives of the traveling public ..... Slow down when you pass .... and if you can not pass without completely blinding someone ... then dig down deep and find the morals and ethics that this industry needs to revive that old forgotten saying .... Knights of the Highway ... It is your responsibility as a professional truck driver to not put the lives of other motorist at risk ....
